1. Martin Garrix

The Dutch DJ from Amstelveen, Netherlands was ranked in first place on DJ Magazines top 100 DJ's list in 2016, 2017, and 2018. His 16 June 2013 solo release “Animals” skyrocketed him onto fame when it became a hit throughout Europe, reaching number one on Beatport.

2. Marshmello

His releases of remixes of songs by artists Zedd and Jack U put Marshmello on the map. In January of 2016, he released his debut studio album Joytime. Songs like Silence, Happier, Alone, Friends, and Wolves all hit Top 30 of Billboard Hot 100.

3. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

The duo brothers were ranked number 1 in 2015 and hit number 2 in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018 in the DJ Magazines Top 100 list of DJs. Songs like Mammoth, The Hum, and Tremor are their top recognized songs that gave them worldwide fame.

4. Hardwell

Another Dutch DJ, Hardwell took the number one spot on the DJ Magazine Top DJ list in 2013 and 2014. In 2018 he was ranked in the top three by DJ Magazine’s top 100 DJs. Some of his songs you may recognize are Bigroom Never Dies, Imaginary, Live The Night, and Spaceman.

5. Diplo

The next DJ is an American based out of Los Angeles, California. He got his first Grammy Award nomination in 2009 for Record of the Year with his the song Paper Planes on which he collaborated with MIA. In 2012 he got his second Grammy Nomination for Best Rap Song with Look at Me Now, where he worked with Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown. He got two more Grammy Award nominations in 2013 and 2016.

6. ILLENIUM

Another American DJ, producer, and musician, Illenium, released his debut album in 2016. It hit number 6 on the Billboard Dance and Electronic Albums chart. At the Electronic Music Awards in 2017, he won Remix of the Year with Say It Flume Remix. The same year he also performed at the awards.

7. The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers is a duo that consists of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. Their breakthrough came in 2014 with the song #Selfie. Other popular songs are Rosse, Don’t Let me Down, Closer, and more. Don’t Let Me Down won Best Dance Recording at the 59th Grammy Awards. They also have eight iHeartRadio Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, and two American Music Awards.

8. Tiesto

Mix Magazine named Tiesto “the Greatest DJ of All Time as per a fan vote. DJ Magazine readers voted him as “best DJ of the last 20 years”. His first solo album was released in 2001 and still going strong in 2018 he was named number eight in the Billboard Dance 100 dance musicians. With numerous releases, Grammy Award nominations and awards, and many other awards and top charts, he is a household name in the dance music world.

9. Zedd

His first mainstream success was in 2012 when he released Clarity and earning him a Grammy award. You will recognize his songs Stay, Break Free, Spectrum, I Want You to Know, The Middle, and many more. He has hit the top of numerous billboard charts, won many awards, and in 2018 he is ranked as number seven in the Billboard Dance 100.

10. W&W

The due consisting of Ward van der Harst and Willem van Hanegem started with trance music and continued into big room house and electro house. Their boost to the mainstream was with Bigfoot in 2017 and have since gone back to their trance style with their latest Nwyr project.
